Tai Chi (Yang Long Form) Outdoor Classes in Ridgefield Starting Up

Tai Chi (Yang Long Form), a meditation in motion, is available outdoors starting in April through Ridgefield Continuing Education. Tai Chi helps relieve stress, increase strength and flexibility, improve balance, coordination and circulation and can be practiced by anyone. Class sizes are limited.

Beginning Tai Chi (Yang Long Form) will be taught by Therese Rayfield who has studied Yang Style Taijii Chuan with Gwen Roman since 2015. Gwen says her energy is smooth, her flow is continuous, and invites you to come join Therese on her Taijii Journey this spring. This 8-session class meets on Wednesdays, April 28 thru June 16 from 6:30 to 7:20 p.m. and costs $98.

Beginning Tai Chi Form during the day is on Thursdays, April 29 thru June 24 (no class May 27) from 10 to 11 a.m. outdoors (8 sessions; cost is $98). Rod Barfield has studied the Tai Chi Form under Gwen Roman for seven years.

The location will be outside in a location near the center of Ridgefield. Inclement weather makeups are added to the end of the session for the Wednesday evening classes and held on Zoom for the Thursday morning classes. Directions to class will be provided when you register.   Tai Chi Exercises with Weights is available on Tuesday and Friday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

Advance registration is required.  More course info is at https://ridgefieldschools.org or phone Peggy Bruno at 203-431-2812.
