Theresa DiFerdinando Allocco died peacefully Saturday morning, August 21st, in Ridgefield, Connecticut at the age of 95. Terry led a full, happy life. A long-time resident of New Hyde Park, New York she was happiest when surrounded by family, friends and neighbors. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on September 15, 1925, Terry met her husband Anthony (deceased, 2012) at Valley Forge General Hospital in 1945. Terry and Tony married in Norristown in April of 1947, and shared 66 wonderful years.
Terry is survived by her children Michael (Gen), Joanne Clark (Bob), Karen Rowe (Tom), her devoted grandchildren Dave (Nina), Andrea (Tomas), Cassandra (Stephen), Jamison (Ashley), Ryan (Rodica), Korey (Danielle) and Kyle (Heather) and her eight great-grandchildren Allie, Tommy, Johnny, Luke, Susie, Owen, Piper, Katie and Paityn. Terry also leaves behind her beloved extended O'Connor and Schlegal families, and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry will be remembered as a thoughtful person who prized time with friends and family. She always had a smile, a pot of coffee and a slice of cake ready to share. She loved hosting, playing cards, bowling and watching golf and her beloved NY Mets. Terry enjoyed many years working at A&S in Manhasset, NY.
