Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield is Calling All Artists to Decorate Bags for Locals in Need!

Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield (MOW) is calling all artists to decorate paper bags!

Brighten a Ridgefield resident's day! What's better than a healthy meal? A healthy meal delivered with an artistic flair! You can pick up some white paper bags at Meals on Wheels headquarters at 25 Gilbert Street, decorate your bags and return them to the MOW kitchen on Monday, Wednesday or Friday mornings.

Visit MOW on Facebook here.

Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 1972 in the basement of Saint Mary School, delivering 24 meals/week to those in our community who were unable to prepare their own meals due to age, disability or recovery from illness, injury or surgery. Today, we prepare and deliver around 40,000 meals a year out of our commercial kitchen in Ballard Green. We have only 5 part-time employees and over 160 volunteers who ensure our wheels keep turning. Lunch and dinner is available up to 7 days/week, and our meals are freshly prepared with plenty of healthy ingredients. We receive no federal or state aid and we rely on the generosity of the community to fund our program.
