Doris A. Heinlein (Dee), 95, Longtime Ridgefield Savings Bank Employee, ROAR Volunteer, has Died

Doris A. Heinlein (Dee), 95, of Ridgefield, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 15, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late George F. Heinlein. 
 
Doris was born on August 5, 1926 in Pennsylvania; the daughter of the late Gustav and Anna Naring.
 
She was a Ridgefield resident since 1976. Dee worked as a bank teller for Ridgefield Savings Bank until she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family, caring for her pets, bird watching, working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and volunteering at ROAR (Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue). 
 
Doris’ light drew many people to her and the world will be a little dimmer without her in it. She had a warm and welcoming personality, and her smile will be especially missed.
 
Doris is survived by her three daughters: Janice Breed and her husband, Richard Fisher of Gloucester, MA, Paula Mulhern and her husband, Ed of Bethel, CT, and Ginger Heinlein of Woodbury, CT. Doris is also survived by her cherished granddaughter, Kristina Meier, and her husband Austin, and two great grandchildren, Audrey and Rowan George. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Albert George Heinlein.
 
A Prayer Service will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to ROAR, 45 South Street, Ridgefield, CT 06877.
