Ridgefield High School Tiger Toss Tournament for the Special Olympics

Recently, seventeen teams consisting of Ridgefield High School students, teachers, and Ridgefield police officers competed in the RHS Tiger Toss cornhole tournament with all proceeds donated to the CT Special Olympics.

Students in Mr. Peterkin's Sports Marketing class planned, promoted, and ran the tournament, learning about all the aspects of event management in the process.

The tournament ended in an epic finale that was won on the last toss by seniors Brooks B. and Ben K. who narrowly defeated Ridgefield police officers Fernando Luis and Mark Giglio.

Brooks and Ben (shown in photo) each won gift cards donated by many local businesses including Genoa Deli, Tiger Sports, and The Cake Box.
