Representatives from the Ridgefield Fathers Club, along with the Ridgefield Grinch, met with Mike Flynn, the Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield, to present the Boys & Girls Club with a check for $10,000. The gift was based on donations the Ridgefield Fathers Club collected on behalf of the Ridgefield Grinch, as he visited kids throughout Ridgefield this past holiday season.
A group of nearly 30 volunteers from the Ridgefield Fathers Club ran the month-long event in which the Ridgefield Grinch made personal appearances at over 700 houses, delivering over 1,500 goody bags to the children of Ridgefield. Brian Armstrong, the President of the Ridgefield Fathers Club said “We did it for the kids and the community. We’ve all been through a lot this past year and seeing the smiles on the kids faces made it all worth it. Plus it’s great to be able to donate to such an amazing organization, which would not have been possible without the generosity of the families of Ridgefield.”
The Ridgefield Fathers Club and the Ridgefield Grinch were also joined by Bruce Yuen, the owner of Tiger Sports, who donated an additional $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield, based on the sale of over 500 “Grinchfield” t-shirts and apparel. Tiger Sports donated $10 from the sale of each shirt which the Ridgefield Fathers Club & the Grinch helped to promote.
