Ridgefield Guild of Artists is coming together with the Ridgefield Historical Society to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. Using inspiration primarily from the Historical Society’s archives, Guild artists have created works with Ridgefield’s rich history in mind. The Picturing Our Past exhibition runs from March 12 – April 2, 2022. An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, March 12 from 4-6pm. All are welcome to this free event.
Drawing from the past, local artists were encouraged to explore the Historical Society’s Collections and archives for inspiration. Visitors will find landmarks, landscapes, portraits, collages and more, including realistic and abstract interpretations. Along with our artists’ original artwork, the Historical Society is graciously providing unique items to enhance this show and collaboration.
The Picturing Our Past exhibition is open through Saturday, April 2. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday – Sunday, 12-4pm. The Guild of Artists’ antique (and historic) gallery barn is located at the bottom of 34 Halpin Lane just before the Rail Trail. Visit www.rgoa.org or call the Guild at 203.438.8863 for more information about this show and all Guild offerings. RGOA is a tax-exempt 501c3 non-profit arts organization, now in its 48th year. All contributions are gratefully accepted.
