Nancy O Creates Sunflower Pins, Offers to Community to Join in Solidarity with Ukraine

Stories about sunflowers in Ukraine have been prevalent since Feb. 24, the first day of the invasion, when a video was shared on Twitter showing a Ukrainian woman giving sunflower seeds to a Russian soldier, telling him to put the seeds in his pockets so the flowers would grow when they die. Nancy O'Connell, the owner of nancy O located in the Marketplace is giving away Sunflower pins to join in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. "They are here for anyone who stops by the shop," Nancy says.

nancy O's will be supporting Ukraine this weekend by donating 10% of sales on Friday and Saturday to Save the Children, earmarked for the Children's Emergency Fund. "If you do not wish to make a purchase, we will also be collecting money which we will add to our donation. You can also click here to link to their site for direct contributions, says Nancy.

One pin per person, while supplies last. No purchase is necessary but donations are welcome.
