Ms President US candidates take the stage at The Ridgefield Playhouse on March 27, comedian Christine O'Leary officiates

Get Ready for the Ms President US Election!

After eight workshop-style sessions over the past six months, the Ms President US candidates are ready to take the stage on Sunday, March 27th at 12pm and ask for your vote to become the next Ms President US of their town. Award-winning comedian Christine O'Leary will be officiating the event, which is free and open to the public.

Students from fourth to eighth grade have a wide range of campaign platforms including increasing bike lanes and cycling safety, utilizing the power of arts in addressing mental health needs, addressing technology overuse in teens, providing free access to period products, reducing food insecurity, and many more. Girls running a campaign will find a way to best present their research, speak on their topic, and display why they should be the next Ms President US of their town.

After two years of virtual elections, Ms President US is excited to return to an in person showcase of all its participants’ public speaking skills. Candidates representing Connecticut towns including Ridgefield, Wilton, Danbury, Norwalk, Hamden. Gilbert (AZ) will also have a candidate. Elections will be held at 12pm on March 27th  and those that would like to attend (it is free and all are welcome) should RSVP here or visit the Ridgefield Playhouse website. All those who register can take part in voting, and there will be a virtual option as well.

All are welcome to join us and celebrate the tremendous amount of work the young participants of Ms President US have done through the 2021-2022 season.
