The Lions Club yellow mailbox for recycling eyeglasses and hearing aids has been moved from Stop and Shop Plaza to the Marketplace by 109 Cheese & Wine.
We collect eyeglasses and hearing aids throughout the year. The box is emptied monthly. There are also cardboard boxes at all the eye doctor's offices, Town Hall, Founder Hall, Fairfield County Bank, Park & Rec, and RVNAhealth.
Thanks to all who recycle their eyeglasses and hearing aids. You are helping thousands of people in third world countries. We send the glasses to New Jersey where they are cleaned, read and packaged. Eye doctors here in the states go overseas with Lions where the doctors examine the people and distribute the proper glasses to the people. Thanks for your help.
