Karen M. Sherwood, Age 77, of Wilton, CT., beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, died on Monday, April 25, 2022.
A long-time resident of Ridgefield, CT, Karen was born to the late Marie (Tangney) Sherwood and Arthur R. Sherwood during World War II on the Marine Corps base at Quantico, VA. She received her B.A. from Northwestern University and M.A. in American History from New York University. She had a successful business career in marketing and human resources. Karen was a quiet non-conformist whose favorite poem was Robert Frost's "The Road Less Travelled." She loved family festivities, museum visits, all kinds of history, and certain specific cats.
Karen is survived by her two sisters, Martha Sherwood Whittemore and her husband William of Palm Beach Gardens FL, and Laura Sherwood Rudish and her husband Russ of Boca Raton FL; and by her nieces Jessica Rudish and her husband Michael Poko, and Katharine Rudish Steele and her husband Colin and their two children, and by her nephew Charles Sherwood Rudish.
