Southwest Cafe Margarita 5K on July 30 Benefits Ability Beyond

The area’s favorite summer 5k is back for 2022.

The 16th annual Southwest Cafe Margarita 5k is back this year, one the flattest and fastest 5k races in the area. Scheduled for Saturday evening July 31, 2022 at Southwest Cafe, 109 Danbury Road, all registered runners (over 21 years old) enjoy a refreshing post-race margarita from Southwest Cafe.

The race benefits Ability Beyond, which operates Ridgefield’s Sunrise Cottage, and new this year, participants can form fundraising teams to further contribute to Ability Beyond. In addition to the finish-line margarita, all participants will receive a soft lifestyle T-shirt.

“We are thrilled to host the 16th running of the race this year. It’s such a fun way to support Ability Beyond and our local Sunrise Cottage,” says Barbara Nevins, owner of Southwest Cafe.

“We’re excited to add fundraising teams to the race this year, furthering the ability to give back to the community, says Megan Searfoss, owner of Ridgefield Running Company.
