Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Carrie Ross-Gingerich Parental Coaching!

Three questions with Carrie Ross-Gingerich, founder of Carrie Ross-Gingerich Parental Coaching.

Why did you start your business?

As a parent of two young boys myself, I understand and can appreciate the blessings and lessons that come with raising children. I became a certified parent coach to support all parents along their journey, both through the challenges and joys. Parenting can feel overwhelming and at times lonely, with so many decisions to make!

My parent coaching offers you a compassionate and understanding ear so we can clarify what your needs are and help you meet them with ease. Our time together creates a sounding board for your parenting challenges and I provide you with new tools to help you tackle the most challenging moments.

What is your best-selling product/service?

As the school year begins, I have 3 spots available for one-hour complimentary sessions to tackle your current challenges and start the year off with more ease and joy within your family. I also offer a free 30-minute consultation to hear about your current challenges and assess if we are a good fit in working together.

After our complimentary consultation, we decided on a personalized program to meet your needs. My clients tend to meet with me 2 to 4 times a month, depending on their schedules each month and what kind of support they desire at the time.

Have you reimagined your small business?

Right now I am getting a master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. This will support my skills so that when clients come to me, we can use the coaching methods I am well versed in while also applying any therapeutic modalities that may be necessary for my clients to thrive.

In a year, I will be able to take clients looking for a therapist (for their children or themselves). I am excited to be available to residents and support the mental health of our community.
