Stephen King's Thriller Film Released, Features Scenes at The Ridgefield Playhouse

Stephen King's Mr. Harrigan's Phone now out on Netflix!

In November 2021, The Ridgefield Playhouse became Gates Falls High School for a new Netflix film titled Mr. Harrigan’s Phone based on the latest collection of novellas If It Bleeds from best-selling author Stephen King.

Six scenes for the Ryan Murphy supernatural film, starring  Jaeden Martell, Donald Sutherland, Joe Tippett were shot outside of The Ridgefield Playhouse and now, you can see the action in the film’s newly released movie. 

In addition to The Ridgefield Playhouse, featured Connecticut scenes and venues include Norwalk, and the Lockwood Mansion, as well as Sherwood Island in Westport.

In the new film, telephone technology takes the next great leap — communicating with those beyond the grave.

According to Netflix, In Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, Jaeden Martell plays Craig, a young man who befriends a reclusive billionaire named Mr. Harrigan (played by Donald Sutherland. When the old man passes away, Craig soon finds he’s able to communicate with his deceased friend through Mr. Harrigan’s titular phone.
