"Emotional Rescue," an Abstract 11 group show at The Meeting House in Ridgebury continues through October 30th. The Abstract 11 group has been painting together for about five years.
"We all came together when each of us signed up for an abstract class at the Guild with Rachel Volpone. We continue meeting weekly and are now friends who support each other not only in our painting pursuits, but also in our everyday lives."
Nine of the Eleven are featured in the show: Karen Beck, Michelle Briody, Blair Crowley, Mary Pat Devine, Madyn Gwynne, Jacque Lang, Dayna Sierakowski, Tina Sturges and Ruth van den Nieuwenhuisen. "We have different styles and personalities, but but our work complements each other, so it all comes together as an exciting show," says Mary Pat Devine.
