RHS Junior Collecting Hockey Equipment for Southern CT Storm Special Hockey

Do you have outgrown or unused ice hockey gear taking up space in your garage or basement?

Alex Irving, a Ridgefield High School junior and member of the Boys Varsity Ice Hockey team, is collecting unused, outgrown, or no longer needed hockey equipment for Southern Connecticut Storm Special Hockey.

Southern Connecticut Storm Special Hockey is dedicated to providing children and young adults with a developmental disability the opportunity to learn to skate and play ice hockey. No prior skating or hockey knowledge is required. Weekly sessions at the Wonderland of Ice  (Bridgeport) include adult coaches and teen volunteers/mentors and emphasize the continued development of individual life skills such as self-reliance, dependability, focus, and confidence.

Donations can be dropped off in the bin by the entry at the Winter Garden Ice Arena (111 Prospect Ridge, Ridgefield) or contact Alex for pick-up (agrayirving@gmail.com).
