Former Grain Building Demolition
According to First Selectman, Rudy Marconi, what you see when you drive on Bailey toward Prospect Street is the demolition of the former grain building. In late January 2023, contractor Patrick Downend of All-Star Welding & Demolition received a Building Permit to demolish the existing building.
A Special Permit application was filed by Attorney Robert Jewell for the construction of a mixed-use commercial and residential building.
According to Town documents, the proposed 35,294 sq. ft. mixed-use building will include three commercial units on the first floor along Bailey Avenue and twenty-five residential units above and behind the commercial units, with twenty-one two-bedroom units and four one-bedroom units.
