Ridgefield Farmers Market on Saturday: Rockwell Pottery and Cross Culture Kombucha make debut and Corrin shares her market picks!

Ridgefield Farmers Market is BACK at Jesse Lee Commons this Saturday, August 26 from 10 am to 2 pm! The Market has been wildly successful with hundreds of locals enjoying farm-fresh goodies as well as a whole lot of camaraderie!

A big “thank you” to Farmers Market founder Corrin Arasa and founding sponsors Fairfield County Bank and Karla Murtaugh Homes.

“It’s going to be a fun market with a great local Bluegrass duo and Pop Art Kids making some free mini market totes with the kids.  Come by and hang out with us!” says Corrin.

Here, Corrin provides her Market pics.

Debut of Rockwater Pottery

My first stop will be at Rockwater Pottery’s booth, I’ll be grabbing a new ceramic travel mug, they are functional and beautiful and made right here in Ridgefield- so happy for her debut at the market.   I’ll grab a few bags of Freshly Roasted Coffee from Quartertone ( their canned iced coffee is great too)  and some Krishna Tea from Herbal Deva for the cooler evenings.

Herbal Deva’s Elderberry Syrup

Also on the list from Herbal Deva is her Elderberry Syrup - I’ll be putting that in our smoothies and topping off my sparkling water to build up immunity as school starts to fight off the classroom germs.

Badass Bagels

I’ll be stocking up on Bagels from Badass for sure.  They will be great to have on hand or freeze for a quick breakfast or lunch.  Their cream cheeses are everything- the Black Garlic, Green Goddess and Shallot flavors are on my list- tip: You can pre-order from their website for easy pick up (and to make sure you get what you want!)

Cross Culture Kombucha makes debut!

Cross Culture Kombucha will be here for the first time and they are bringing their taps and growlers.  I am so excited as I love their Kombucha and having it right from the tap is a special treat.

Wild Iris

Wild Iris is doing a special Dahlia CSA that you can pick up at the market.  They specialize in some highly coveted varietals so if you are a Dahlia lover then you are in for a real treat.  Sign up on Saturday to get on the list.

Henny Penny Farm and the Hickories

I’ll be grabbing some of Henny Penny’s Berkshire Pork sausage,  some spicy peppers from the Hickories, and some bread from Wave Hill to have a nice easy Sausage and Pepper dinner after the market.  I’ll stock up on cherry tomatoes too as they are at their peak and will make a fantastic bruschetta.

See you at the market! And,  come say hi- let me know what your favorite market finds are!
