Seven Ridgefield High School students are National Merit Scholarship Corporation Semifinalists

We recently announced the Ridgefield High School students who were named Semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) program.

Awardees shown in this photo (courtesy of Ridgefield Public Schools) are Victor, Gabriel, Kyle, Sophie, Anjali, Angelina. Missing from photo is James.

Today, Ridgefield Public Schools says that six of the seven RHS Class of 2024 Merit Semi-Finalists met with Counseling Supervisor Stephanie Cheung to learn about the next steps in the scholarship contest and take the photo. Principal Dr. Jake Greenwood congratulated the group, noting that this class had the most recipients of the honor in the last couple of years. There were two in last year's class.

"Twins Gabriel and Victor Uceda-Sosa (shown with Dr. Greenwood in photo #2) said that they celebrated with cake. One of the recipients said that they had told their parents via text:) Good luck, Tigers as you move through the finalist stage," Ridgefield Public Schools says.
