Jessica Collins and Steve Maydan are co-chairs for the 11th Annual Giant Pumpkin Weighoff and Festival which will take place in Ballard Park in Ridgefield this Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 10 am to 3 pm. It promises (once again) to be a fun-filled day!
Unleash some GIANT creativity and join the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off Decorating Contest!
Drop off your pumpkin entry at the pumpkin decorating booth in Ballard Park between 10-11 AM this Saturday, September 23! You can vote for your favorite pumping from 11-1:45. The winners will be announced at 2 p.m. You can pick up your pumpkin anytime after 2 p.m.
Contest rules:
- pumpkins may not be larger than 2'x2'x2' or heavier than 35 lbs.
- All entries must be real. No artificial pumpkins.
- All pumpkins must be picked up by 3pm.
- Pumpkins may be carved or hollowed, and objects, material, and paper may be glued or pinned to the pumpkin. Participants may also draw and paint on the entry pumpkin.
- Do not write or display your name on your entry (all entries will receive an identification number).
- Pumpkins must be appropriate and child-friendly. We reserve the right to reject the entry pumpkin.
- By entering the contest (and filling out the entry form) you consent to photography of yourself and your pumpkin for use by the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off Committee
- Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off Committee is not liable for any loss or damage to the entry.
