UPDATE: Michelin Star chefs are new owners of Steve’s Bagels, now Ridgefield Bagels & Bakes

Steve’s Bagels is now Ridgefield Bagels and Bakes and proudly owned by Pound Ridge residents and chef aficionados Emily and Gary King!

The husband and wife duo who hail from Pound Ridge are both Michelin Star culinary sensations. Emily adds owner of Ridgefield Bagels & Bakes to her impressive career as a pastry chef. She spent many years as the Executive Pastry Chef at popular farm-to-table NYC eatery CookShop restaurant.

Gary, a farm-to-table chef, earned a Culinary degree from the French Culinary Institute and in addition to acquiring Ridgefield’s bagel hot-spot, he has a longtime career as a private chef in New York City and Westchester (check out ChefGaryKing.com). He has earned acclaim as a restaurant consultant and advisor (think FoodNetwork's Restaurant Impossible).

It was when his kids began taking Jiu-Jitsu classes at Core Academy in Ridgefield that King first had the idea to purchase Steve’s Bagels. “I stopped in for an egg sandwich,” he says.

"We're here to make Steve's Bagels a better place," says King, who will focus on the Ridgefield Bagels & Bakes "savory" offerings while Emily's charge is the "sweets".

When you step inside Ridgefield Bagels and Bakes, you will notice that the popular downtown eatery has already been enhanced (and King says more improvements are on the way) from the extended hours of operation (it was even open on Thanksgiving) to the interior and offerings (farm-fresh eggs, better bagels, house-made soups, and more.

Ridgefield Bagels & Bakes is located at 463 Main Street, Ridgefield.
