The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra (RSO) continues its 59th season on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 7:30 PM at David F. Clune Auditorium at Wilton High School with a concert titled ROMANTIC.
The performance features the outstanding professional musicians of the RSO, highly acclaimed pianist George Li as soloist, and a program featuring two marvelous, iconic pieces of music – Sergei Rachmaninoff’s gorgeous Piano Concert No. 2 and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s magnificent Symphony No. 5.
Praised by the Washington Post for combining “staggering technical prowess, a sense of command and depth of expression,” pianist George Li possesses an effortless grace, poised authority, and brilliant virtuosity far beyond his 28 years. “We are so fortunate to have outstanding soloists perform with the RSO this season” says RSO Executive Director Laurie Kenagy. “And to have George Li with us, playing what is often called the most romantic piece of music ever written, will no doubt be an extraordinary evening of music.”
Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra is a professional orchestra with the mission to enrich the cultural life of the citizens of Ridgefield and surrounding communities by presenting musical performances of the highest artistic quality. The RSO also strives to increase the appreciation for music through active community involvement and innovative outreach programs.
