Award-winning artist Dennis Stevens will display his new exhibit, A Look Around: Paintings by Dennis Stevens from December 1 through December 28 in the Ridgefield Library's Art Gallery, during regular Library hours.*
Join Stevens for an Artist’s Reception at the Library on Saturday, December 2 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
Stevens' artworks are traditional and representational, and they explore narrative themes in nature. Each painting has its own story. Some stories are obvious while some are subtle and take time to unearth.
Born in a tiny town in Iowa, the son of a sheep shearer and housewife, Dennis graduated from Drake University with a major in art and a minor in advertising. He held many prestigious positions in advertising before devoting his time to painting. Stevens lives and works in Cranbury, CT.
