Ridgefield student Ruby Weiner is expanding her mission to combat food insecurity with the relocation of one of her Little Free Food Pantries to a new, more accessible location. The pantry, previously situated at Nature’s Temptations, is being moved to Clark Construction at 51 Ethan Allen Highway, thanks to a partnership between Ruby and business owner Ross Clark.
This new spot offers greater convenience for community members living outside of downtown Ridgefield. The pantry is expected to be in place by this weekend.
Ruby, a student in the Ridgefield Public Schools, has been dedicated to helping those facing food insecurity in her community. Her initiative, Ruby’s Little Pantries, provides free food and essentials to those in need. The pantries are stocked with non-perishable items and are accessible to anyone at any time.
Ruby's commitment to addressing food insecurity continues to inspire and mobilize the Ridgefield community, demonstrating the impact one individual can have in making a difference.
