Ridgefield Shines Bright with 2024 Founders Hall-iday Light Fight
Ridgefield, CT — The spirit of the season shone brightly in Ridgefield as the 2024 Founders Hall-iday Light Fight brought the community together for a celebration of creativity, joy, and holiday cheer. This beloved annual event raised over $25,000 to support Founders Hall thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, and residents who came out to enjoy the dazzling displays.
This year’s winners truly lit up the town! The Bishop Family’s spectacular display (#14 on the map) earned the top honor in the residential category. Kim Bishop and her youngest son, Tommy—who shares a passion for holiday lights and helped decorate their winning scene—are pictured alongside their award-winning setup. In the business category, Books on the Common (#5) dazzled as the winner. Owner Ellen Byrnes is pictured with members of her incredible team. Not pictured but equally integral to the success of the display is co-owner Darwin Ellis.
Runners-up in the residential category were Steven March and Victor Melendez (#6). The business category saw a tie for second place, with The West Lane Inn (#15) and Lounsbury House (#7) adding even more sparkle to the festivities.
Made possible by the generous support of sponsors Larry Bossidy, Fairfield County Bank, Jenn and Ron Kubick, Keystone Place at Wooster Heights, Young's Fencing and Landscaping, and HamletHub, the Founders Hall-iday Light Fight exemplifies what makes Ridgefield such a special place to call home—a true sense of community, connection, and celebration of shared traditions.
The 2024 Light Fight map will remain on the Founders Hall website for a few more weeks, inviting everyone to continue enjoying the festive displays and celebrating Ridgefield’s holiday spirit. To view the Light Fight Map Route, click here.
