Camerata d’Amici to Present “Bring Me All Your Dreams” on May 18
Choral group Camerata d’Amici is delighted to present its spring concert “Bring Me All Your Dreams” on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 4 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 6 Ivy Hill Road, Ridgefield, CT 06877. Conducted by Kristin Sponheim, the concert will feature music of hope and resilience.
The first half of the concert features songs about our dreams and aspirations, including the lighthearted “I Started Out Singing,” by Jocelyn Hagen, and “Bring Me All Your Dreams,” by Christopher Harris, a setting of a poem by Langston Hughes.
The program will continue with a series of songs that convey strength and resilience in the face of challenge, including “Hard Times, Come Again No More,” a beautiful ballad by Stephen Foster arranged by Shawn Kirchner, and “I Will Make A Way,” a powerful setting of a biblical text by Tom Trenney. The concert concludes with two uplifting spirituals: “Shine On Me,” arranged by Rollo Dilworth and “Ain’t No Grave,” arranged by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory.
Camerata d’Amici is an auditioned choir made up of singers from Fairfield and Westchester counties. “Bring Me All Your Dreams” will feature performances by the full group and a select chamber ensemble, men’s and women’s pieces, and vocal solos by Thomas Carr of Danbury, Juliet Pratt of Ridgefield, and Melissa Strauss of Katonah. The choir will be accompanied by Gina Wilson of Ridgefield (piano).
Tickets at the door are $30 for adults and $10 for youth 18 and under. Advance tickets, with a reduced ticket price of $25 for adults, may be purchased at cameratadamici.org.
