Ridgefield Police Respond to Domestic Incident Resulting in Homicide

In the early hours of Saturday, August 3, at approximately 1:00 am, Ridgefield Police responded to a report of a domestic incident at 27 Powderhorn Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered Marc Uricchio deceased.

Steven James Uricchio, age 31, was arraigned in Danbury Superior Court on Monday, August 5, and charged with murder, a Class A felony. He is currently being held on a $1.5 million bond and is awaiting a court disposition scheduled for September 4 at 10:00 am.

The State of Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner's office has ruled the cause of death as homicide, citing "sharp force and blunt impact injuries of the head, neck, torso, and extremities."
