CHIRP Announces First Nine Concerts of the 2025 Season

As spring officially arrives tomorrow, Thursday, March 20, music lovers in Ridgefield have another reason to celebrate—the return of CHIRP.

Barbara Manners, the visionary behind Concert Happenings in Ridgefield’s Parks (CHIRP), is kicking off the 2025 season with an exciting announcement: the first nine concerts of this year’s series, set to begin on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Ballard Park.

Tuesday, May 27 – Ridgefield High School Orchestra

Under the direction of "Mac" MacNamara, RHS musicians set the stage for another unforgettable season.

Tuesday, June 3 – John Papa Gros

A New Orleans legend blending funk, trad jazz, brass band, and blues into his signature joyful sound.

Thursday, June 5 – Honey Island Swamp Band

Their "Bayou Americana" fusion of blues, roots, country, and soul has been hailed by No Depression.

Tuesday, June 10 – Cimarron615

Former Poco band members return with original music and classic hits. Cimarron615.com

Thursday, June 12 – Amy Speace

Described by Rolling Stone as one of Americana’s most talented singer-songwriters.

Tuesday, June 17 – Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez

The "Beehive Queen" of contemporary R&B returns for another must-see CHIRP performance.

Thursday, June 19 – Liam Purcell & Cane Mill Road

A CHIRP debut. No Depression calls the 22-year-old North Carolinian the "future of bluegrass."

Tuesday, June 24 – CJ Chenier & His Red Hot Louisiana Band

Zydeco music at its finest, led by a true master of the genre.

Thursday, June 26 – Nefesh Mountain

A unique blend of American folk, Appalachian bluegrass, Celtic folk, and Jewish melodies.
