CT Against Gun Violence: Allison Stockel co-chairs "Be the Hope" luncheon

CT Against Gun Violence (CAGV) will host its annual "Be the Hope" Luncheon Benefit on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Inn at Longshore in Westport. This waterfront gathering will bring together advocates, community leaders, and supporters to further CAGV’s mission of making Connecticut safer through advocacy, education, and legislative action.

The event will honor Jonathan Perloe, longtime CAGV Director of Communications, for his years of dedicated service and impactful advocacy. Attendees will also be introduced to Earl Bloodworth, the organization’s new Executive Director. "We are pleased to formally introduce Earl at this event," said Melissa Kane, CAGV Board Chair. "It’s a great opportunity for supporters to hear about his vision for CAGV’s future."

The luncheon is co-chaired by Jennifer Epstein, Nicole Heath, Nancy Lefkowitz, Melissa Kane, Allison Stockel, and Barb Patrick—all dedicated advocates for gun violence prevention. "This gathering is not just a fundraiser," said Kane. "It’s a celebration of our community’s resilience and commitment to keeping Connecticut safe."

The luncheon will take place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Inn at Longshore, located at 260 Compo Road South in Westport. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., with the event running from 12 to 2 p.m.
