The wait is (almost) over! Fletch’s Bagels and Cafe is currently turning the former home of Gyro on Pita at 91 Danbury Road into a haven for bagels, custom-created salads, and signature sandwiches!
Fletch Tison, a native Ridgefielder, moved his family from NYC to his hometown during the pandemic, fueled by his passion for crafting the perfect bagel - fluffy and soft on the inside, crusty on the outside. BAM, Fletch's Bagels was born.
"The Ridgefield community that I grew up in never left my mind, especially once I started a family of my own. I'm beyond thrilled to have moved back to my beloved hometown with my wife and young kids and, with the success of my online business, open a physical storefront location here," says Fletch.
That's right. What started as a local weekend bagel online order business quickly morphed into a community “must have” item with hundreds of residents flocking to Ridgefield Prime for their weekend bagel fix.
Fletch's Bagels is backed by Ridgefielders Ed Bistany and Bob Sperry, the owners of Ridgefield Prime and Prime Burger. Ed and Bob met Fletch earlier this year and quickly became fans of his bagels and community-based mission. “Fletch's Bagels customers began picking up their online orders at Ridgefield Prime this past summer,” says Sperry who adds, "The insanely positive customer praise and repeat business of these crunchy chewy bagels made our decision to back Fletch in a brick-and-mortar bagelry and café pretty easy. We look forward to supporting Fletch in a locally owned, quality food business”.
And… Fletch’s Bagels quickly earned acclaim from even the youngest members of our community and even CT Bites. “The colorful mini-Tiger Bagel has quickly become a children's favorite. In their first year they have also built their presence at many local events and recently cracked CT Bites 30 Best CT Bagels,” says Sperry.
"My family cherished growing up in this town years ago and my own family now loves growing in this community, we can only hope that Fletch's Bagels & Cafe becomes a part of the fabric of this wonderful town we call home!" says Fletch.
While we wait for Fletch’s Bagels & Cafe to open their doors, you can order your bagels, creamed cheese, and Fletch’s merch online https://fletchsbagels.com/
