Ridgefield Arts Council Celebrates Make Music Day

For the sixth straight year, Ridgefield will celebrate Make Music Day on Friday, June 21. Musicians will perform between 11 AM and 9 PM across 15+ venues, including the Ridgefield Library, Lounsbury House, Town Hall, Keeler Tavern, First Congregational Church, Copps Hill, and many more. This year, Ballard Park will feature top artists including Angry O’Hara’s, School of Rock, Scott Robert & Friends, Waiting On Mom, and the headliner MOJO. Enjoy Ballard Park Concerts from 3 PM to 9 PM.

The Ridgefield Arts Council sponsors Make Music Day Ridgefield as part of its mission to generate attention for Ridgefield’s vibrant arts community. Jennifer Dineen and other RAC members are organizing the event. Make Music Day Ridgefield is an outgrowth of the Fete de la Musique, which originated in France in 1982 and is now celebrated in more than 120 countries and 1,000 cities.

Ballard Park @ 3 PM – 9 PM

  • Featuring Progressive Bluegrass from Angry O’Hara’s, Jazz from Scott Robert & Friends, Rock/Pop/Indie from Waiting on Mom, Rock from School of Rock, and Rock and Pop tunes from MOJO.

First Congregational Church @ 2 PM – 7 PM

  • Featuring Folk, Jazz, and Classical music from First Congregational Church Musicians, Folk tunes from Maggie Seligman, Jazz from the Noreen Mola Quartet, and Americana and Bluegrass from the String Busters.

Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center @ 12 PM – 7 PM

  • Featuring Rock Music by Voodoo Dream, original music by Michael Horowitz, Celtic and Folk standards by Maggie Seligman, Blues, Ragtime, & Folk by True Religion, Indie-Folk by Charlotte Roth, Afrobeat, Samba, & Funk from Greg DiMiceli, and Rock and Blues from Eric Parker Christensen.

Marketplace at Copps Hill @ 12 PM – 9 PM

  • Featuring Blues/Ragtime/Folk by True Religion, Jazz/Funk by Small Pool, Country/Pop/Rock by The Peterman Project, Indie-Folk by Charlotte Roth and Cintia Maio.
