Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center’s (KTM&HC) Cannonball Gala is only one week away – don’t miss your chance to purchase tickets before they sell out! Join us on Saturday, May 3 at 6 p.m. to celebrate the contributions of honorees Daniel C. Levine and Bryan Perri and support KTM&HC’s important mission-driven work. Plus, this year’s Gala live auction features fantastic items, including a stunning quilt created by Tony Award-winning playwright, actor, and activist Harvey Fierstein.
Attendees will enjoy cocktails and dinner in the museum’s historic walled garden and Garden House, with catering by À Table by Sarah + Bernard. The evening will feature special musical entertainment by Bryan Perri as well as live and silent auctions and a paddle raise.
Live auction items include: a year-long subscription to monthly floral arrangements by Rodier Flowers; a week-long getaway to the White Mountains in New Hampshire; premium seats at an upcoming Met’s game; a culturally immersive weekend in Ridgefield; an exclusive dinner party for six prepared by À Table; a peak-season rental of the Cass Gilbert Garden House; and season passes for two to A.C.T. of Connecticut’s 2025-2026 season.
“Playing with the tradition of bucolic landscapes, I’ve quilted three Gaston Lachaise-inspired nymphs floating in the sparkling light of summer,” said Fierstein, who has been designing and sewing quilts in his Ridgefield atelier for decades.
The quilt comes with a signed copy of Fierstein’s autobiography, I Was Better Last Night: A Memoir. Fierstein has been selected to receive the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre at the 2025 Tonys for his contributions to the American theatre, both as an artist and activist.
