Join Ridgefield Travel Baseball for a special screening of “Twelve,” to raise money for our 12-year-old team which will be competing in the Cooperstown Tournament at the end of July.
This inspirational movie tells the story of Kyle Cooke, an 11-year-old ball player who moves to a new town and is snubbed by the coaches during tryouts for a little league team. Determined to make another team the following year and go to the Little League World Series, Kyle puts his heart and soul into becoming the greatest player.
Ridgefield Travel Baseball is a not-for-profit division of Ridgefield Little League which was established in 2011 to accommodate those players in town who were seeking options for a higher level of baseball. Our 12-year-old team will be competing in Cooperstown at a tournament that draws baseball teams from around the world at a very special place, the home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Tim Pambianchi, one of the event organizers has happy memories from his boyhood when as a 12-year old, he went to Cooperstown with his little league team. Now Tim gets to pay it forward and make special memories with his son and the other players on the team. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to offset the costs associated with sending our players for a once in a lifetime experience. We’re super excited about this opportunity. On behalf of the players and coaches we thank everyone who has helped to support our program and fundraising effort.
