Meals on Wheels Ridgefield Announces Stephen Devine as Director of Operations

Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield is pleased to announce that Stephen Devine is our new Director of Operations effective September 1st. With a long career in the food service industry, Steve will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our commercial kitchen which serves over 50,000 meals each year to Ridgefield residents who can’t prepare meals on their own.

Steve was born and raised in White Plains, NY, the youngest of seven children in a family whose roots in the community go back four generations.  Steve pursued his passion for caring for others by pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island.  With 45 years of experience in the food service industry, Steve has honed his skills in diverse locations including the Caribbean, Rhode Island, Buffalo, NY, and New York City.

Steve and his wife have lived in Ridgefield for over 15 years. They are committed members of St. Mary’s Parish and Ridgefield Recreation Center, and enjoy the strong sense of community and connection the town offers. Outside of work, he is an avid skier and golfer, spending winters on the slopes and summers on the greens. Steve served 10 years on the National Ski Patrol, a testament to his love for skiing.

Meals on Wheels is a 501(c)(3) organization that is celebrating its 50th anniversary of providing nourishment to those who can’t prepare meals on their own, whether due to age, disability or recovery from an illness or surgery. We have no age or income restrictions. Each year, over 175 volunteers prepare and deliver more than 50,000 meals to residents of Ridgefield. With no federal or state funding, Meals on Wheels relies on the generous donations of community members.
