Ms. President US Mobilizes Future Female Leaders in Statewide Event

Ms. President US launched 2025 with a dynamic statewide Zoom meeting that brought together five Connecticut chapters for an inspiring exploration of civic engagement and governance.

The event began with an empowering quote from Jane Goodall: “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” This set a reflective and action-oriented tone for the session, reminding participants of the profound impact individuals can have on their communities and the world. Over 50 participants shared stories of mentors, teachers, and family members who have shaped their paths.

The discussion centered on practical approaches to civic engagement, including initiating community projects and advocating for meaningful causes. In breakout sessions, participants collaborated in smaller groups to analyze real-life examples of civic action and brainstorm plans for their own communities.

A key focus of the event was an overview of the roles and responsibilities of local, state, and federal governments. Participants examined how local decisions—such as educational policies—impact daily life and explored the broader responsibilities of state and federal governments, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how governance shapes their lives.

The meeting concluded with participants reflecting on their own civic goals and considering potential topics for their upcoming Ms. President US election campaigns. Each participant chose causes they felt strongly about, aiming to make a meaningful impact through their platforms.

Ms. President US is a groundbreaking nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and equipping girls to pursue the highest levels of civic leadership.

Mark your calendars for the Ms. President US Signature Campaign and Election event on April 6 in Wilton, CT. Candidates will present their platforms, and attendees will have the opportunity to vote for Ms. President US representing 12 Connecticut towns. The event is free and open to the public.
