The Ridgefield Action Committee for the Environment (R.A.C.E.) is thrilled to announce that Sustainable CT has once again recognized the Town of Ridgefield, achieving a Bronze level certification for its commitment to sustainability and community well-being.
Every three years, RACE coordinates Ridgefield’s application for Sustainable CT’s certification program. Ridgefield earned Sustainable CT’s Bronze Certification in its inaugural class of certifying municipalities and was recertified in 2021 and 2024.
Sustainable CT, an independently funded statewide initiative, commended Ridgefield for its significant achievements across twelve sustainable impact areas, ranging from energy efficiency to environmental protection, local economies, arts and culture, and senior support.
In a statement from Sustainable CT, Ridgefield was praised for its dedication to building community connections, promoting social equity, and fostering long-term resilience.
