It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved colleague and longtime Ridgefield community member, Elizabeth (Glenny) Montanari, who has been part of the fabric of Scotts Ridge Middle School since 2005.

Glenny began her service to Ridgefield Public Schools in October 2002 and dedicated more than two decades to supporting our students, staff, and families. Over the years, she held several clerical roles at RHS, BMES, and SRMS, most recently serving as the SRMS Special Education Clerical para and supporting daily bus supervision. In each of her roles, Glenny brought warmth, humor, and a deep sense of care to her work. She was known for her welcoming presence, her steady commitment, and her remarkable ability to connect with people - whether students, colleagues, or families.

Beyond her professional contributions, Glenny was a proud Ridgefield parent whose children attended our schools. She was an active and visible member of the community, known for her vibrant personality and her enthusiastic support of Ridgefield High School athletics. Whether cheering from the sidelines or lending a hand behind the scenes, Glenny brought spirit and joy to every event she attended.

Her passing is a tremendous loss for the entire Ridgefield community. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and connection that will not be forgotten.

We extend our deepest condolences to Glenny’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Warmly,

Susie Da Silva, Ed.D
