Ridgefield Tops List as Safest in Connecticut for Third Consecutive Year

SafeWise, a digital company specializing in home security and safety, announced the 2025 Top 10 Safest Cities in Connecticut based on Uniform Crime Report (UCI) from the FBI.

The article states, “Boasting exceptionally low crime rates per capita, Ridgefield is Connecticut's safest city for the third year in a row. The other 9 cities have reason to celebrate as well, as they've all previously appeared on our top-ten list over the last couple of years.”

Trailing Ridgefield in safety are:

1. Wallingford
2. Newtown
3. Cheshire
4. Shelton
5. New Milford
6. Simsbury
7. Greenwich
8. Westport
9. Vernon

• Ridgefield, holds on to the top spot for the third consecutive year. 
• Ridgefield was the only city to report fewer than 100 property crimes, coming in with 49.
• 2 of Connecticut’s safest cities reported fewer than 10 burglaries: Ridgefield (0) and Wallingford (8).
