Ridgefielder Bobby Kelly, 61, Drain Surgeon Plumbing & Heating founder, has died

Robert (Bobby) E Kelly, 61, of Ridgefield, husband of Diane (Lynch) Kelly, passed away on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, after a three year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Bobby was born in New York City on April 19, 1962, son of the late Robert and Mary (McEvoy) Kelly. He attended St. Brendan School, Fordham Prep, and Westchester Community College.

Bobby was a member of Plumbers Local 1 and worked with the New York City Board of Education. In May of 1991 he married the love of his life. The following year, he and Diane moved to Ridgefield, CT and co-founded Drain Surgeon Plumbing and Heating. They started a family together in 1996 with the birth of their first son, Robby.

He was an avid New York Yankees and Giants Football fan, and Tree House Builder, among other pursuits. He most enjoyed taking his kids skiing, attending their sporting events, and vacationing on Long Beach Island with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Diane (Lynch) Kelly, children Robert M Kelly, Ryan P Kelly, and Amanda M Kelly, his sister Geraldine M Kelly and lifelong best friend John Fox.

We are grateful for the medical team and care provided at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and support from Ann’s Place of Danbury.

Please join us for a celebration of his life on Friday, April 5th, 2024 in Lund Hall (First Congregational Church) at 103 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT 06877. A ceremony will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, with refreshments served after.
