UPDATE: Services planned for Jeffrey Bonistalli, 70, of Ridgefield

Jeffrey Louis Bonistalli, 70, of Ridgefield, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 after a 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the loving husband of Susan (Caprise) Bonistalli of 42 years. 

Jeffrey was born on February 14, 1954 in Jersey City, NJ; a son of the late Paul and Helen (Sharkos) Bonistalli. 

Jeffrey graduated from Bergen Catholic High School where he excelled in math and played football. He went on to spend his college years at UConn where he studied business and enjoyed all of the sporting events, and then received his masters degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University. 

A resident of Ridgefield since 1987, Jeffrey was a retired Real Estate and Relocation Specialist from Prudential/Merrill Lynch and later on became a financial analyst for multiple companies. Jeffrey was very active with Ridgefield Youth Sports and he was a volunteer with Ridgefield Little League, Ridgefield Youth Basketball, Ridgefield Youth Soccer and Ridgefield Pop Warner Youth Football. He served as the Ridgefield High School Football Statistician and was the Supervisor for the Ridgefield Youth Basketball High School Division for 12+ years. 

Jeffrey also enjoyed travelling, gardening and reading and was an avid fan of the New York Mets, New York Giants, New York Knicks and UCONN Basketball. Jeff enjoyed tailgating at the giants games for 40+ years with a large group of family and friends. Jeff traveled to the Jersey Shore with his family for 20+ years, traveled to many national parks across the country, went on multiple cruises around the world, and really loved music, especially Dua Lipa, and dancing the night away. Jeff and his wife spent many nights at various nightclubs in their youth and adult years where they took the dance floor by storm. 

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Susan and their three children: Jeffrey Bonistalli Jr. and his wife, Laura; Lauren Bonistalli and Joseph Bonistalli. Jeffrey is also survived by his granddaughter, Ruby Suzanne Bonistalli; his siblings Susan Nicastro and Paul Bonistalli, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey’s family is forever grateful for the medical teams and wonderful care received at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Danbury Hospital, and the RVNA. 

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary's Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will take place privately.
