The owners of The Benjamin restaurant in Ridgefield clarified rumors about the property being listed for sale via a post on their Facebook page. “Since somebody is speculating on what's going on with our property being listed, we would like to put the rumors to rest,” they wrote.
They revealed they were approached by a developer last year but wanted to keep operating the restaurant. They are now considering leasing back the restaurant space from potential new property owners to reduce costs and focus on their dining and event offerings, including upcoming events, a pop-up beer garden, and a busy 2025 and 2026 wedding season. They emphasized no plans to sell or close the restaurant and invited the community to visit.
“We just want to make sure everybody is put at ease, and hopefully put a stop to the Facebook telephone game. With that said, Come, cozy up to one of our fireplaces this weekend, and enjoy a night out. We look forward to seeing you all!”
