Theater Barn Adds Overflow Seating for The Steeple Storytelling Event April 27

Due to high demand, the Ridgefield Theater Barn (RTB) has opened a second viewing space for the April 27 Storytelling event, The Steeple: It’s Only a Number. Patrons will be able to watch six live storytellers on a closed-circuit screen in the RTB’s Black Box Theater in real time for $20 ($15 plus handling).

Tickets include participation in the afterparty in the theater lobby, with complementary desserts by Á Table. The Black Box livestream begins at 6 p.m. (for those with tickets to sold-out cabaret seating in the main theater, the event begins with a BYO dinner at 5 p.m.).

The event, co-produced by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and the Ridgefield Theater Barn, is part of a year-long celebration of the church’s 300th anniversary. Three storytellers from St. Stephen’s—Lynn Bliss, Ben Brewster, Angela Liptack—and three from Ridgefield at large—Chris Belden, Eliz DiSalvo, Andrew Levine—will tell tales of hopes, dreams, significant milestones, or a surprising truth.

The format is based on the Moth Radio Hour. “We are thrilled and grateful that the Ridgefield Theater Barn is making it possible for more people to attend what we believe will be a memorable event,” said Peter Bachmann, who with Michael Altopp is one of two emcees. Both are members of St. Stephen’s. The Steeple tickets for RTB’s Black Box seating may be purchased here.
