This holiday season, Tubby Tim’s Tree Lot is gifting Ridgefielders a little extra time to dive into the Christmas spirit! Opening early on Saturday, November 23, at 9 a.m., the beloved local tree lot is bringing the holiday cheer ahead of Thanksgiving this year.
With Thanksgiving falling on November 28—the latest it can be—Mary and Tim Dent, owners of Tubby Tim’s, wanted to give Ridgefield families an extra week to pick the perfect tree, wreaths, and greenery for their homes.
Located at 399 Danbury Road next to Limestone Service Station, Tubby Tim’s Tree Lot has become the go-to spot for Ridgefielders in search of premium holiday greenery. The lot’s hours will remain the same: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, allowing plenty of time for visits from families and friends alike.
More than just a tree lot, Tubby Tim’s is a Ridgefield holiday staple that locals lovingly describe as the “Cheers” of Christmas tree farms. Each year, the Dents create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and at home, catching up with neighbors, sharing smiles, and—of course—bringing home the perfect Christmas tree.
For over a decade, Tubby Tim’s has been opening the day after Thanksgiving, staying open through Christmas Eve. This year’s early opening is just one more way the Dents are helping Ridgefield start the season with joy.
