My sister in law made this delicious and handsome cheese ball for our family Easter celebration last year. I promised myself that I'd remember to post the recipe and photo on the blog in time for Easter 2011. So, here it is!
For bunny cheese ball:
2 8 oz packages cream cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1 bunch of scallions cut up (save 2 ends for whiskers)
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 package of Boursin cheese
For features:
2 green olives with pimentos for eyes
2 black olives for eye lashes
1 red pepper for nose, mouth and bow tie
2 carrots for bunny ears
1 celery stalk for 2 front teeth
2 ends from scallion bunch -slit into 4 slices to create whiskers
Bunny cheese ball directions:
Soften cream cheese
Mix all bunny cheese ball ingredients together
Form like a ball on large platter
Arrange the vegetable features on the ball to create bunny face
Put in refrigerator until firm
Serve with crackers or vegetables
