The Women's Center Offers Fall Support Groups

"ENDINGS" - for those considering or in the process of ending a marriage or relationship. Closed, facilitated evening groups meet weekly for eight sessions; co-ed and women's groups available. Topics include the mourning process of divorce, self-esteem, coping strategies for stress, anger and loneliness, and moving beyond divorce. Next session begins Monday, September 22, 2014.

"I AM OK!" - identifies and develops skills to counter the negative factors impacting self esteem. A closed, facilitated evening group meets weekly for seven sessions beginning Tuesday, September 23rd.

A new group begins meeting at New Milford Senior Center Tuesday mornings also starting September 23rd.

"Thriving Women" - ongoing support groups offer a safe place for women to focus on sustaining healthy relationships, and changing or transitioning out of unhealthy relationships. Explore how to cope with the anxiety, depression, anger, and substance abuse that can be common responses to relationship issues. Weekly morning and afternoon groups available Mondays & Tuesdays.

The Women's Center provides free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault and other major life transitions to thousands of women, children and men annually.
