Have you noticed the bras on Main Street?
The Candlelight Shoppe, located at 407 Main Street, is bursting at the seams - with bras! Blue, pink, purple, red, white... the bras are hanging on a pink picket fence and adorning the shop’s large window in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
During the month of October, the Candlelight Shoppe is collecting gently-used bras which will be donated to local women’s shelters. They are also accepting monetary donations which will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Candlelight Shoppe owner, Pam Fitzpatrick is overwhelmed by the amount of customers and local residents who have donated their gently used bras. “This is the first year I have done this,” says Fitzpatrick, who plans on making this an October tradition to bring awareness and support to breast cancer.
The Candlelight Shoppe is open from 10:30 to 5:30 p.m. You can call the shop: (203) 438-2333.
