Soccer Game at Ridgefield High School to Benefit Suicide Prevention

More than 35 Freshman from Ridgefield High School will gather on Friday, June 15 at 3 p.m. at Tiger Hollow to play in a charity soccer game, benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

The game originated in 2017 as part of an 8th grade service project at East Ridge Middle School and has grown into an annual tradition.  "The game is a great way for us to get together and raise money and awareness for an important cause," says event organizer Charlie DeMatteo. Team captains are Tasha Riek and Owen Gaydos.

Spectators are welcome to come cheer on the teams!  Donations may be made directly to AFSP by visiting https://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.personalCampaign&participantID=1593869
