Ridgefield Rotary Honors Richard Vazzana as Citizen of the Year

In recognition of his many years of service to the Ridgefield Community, The Rotary Club of Ridgefield announced the 2018 Citizen of the Year is Richard Vazzana.

Richard is an accomplished business executive who has served Ridgefield in numerous leadership roles since moving here over 20 years ago.

He served as President of the Lounsbury House /Ridgefield Community Center as they underwent a major renovation. He was also on the Board of Directors of the Keeler Tavern, and most recently as a Board member and Vice President of Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra.

He has been a past President of the Ridgefield Rotary and currently serves as a Rotary Assistant District Governor. He served our volunteer Town Government as Vice Chair of the Ridgefield Charter Revision Commission and was on the Board of Directors of the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce.

Richard exemplifies the Rotary motto of Service above Self. Please join us at the Citizen of the Year Event. It will be held at the Silver Spring Country Club on June 27. Cocktails will start at 6PM with dinner to follow. Tickets are $85 and can be purchased online.

The proceeds from this event are returned to deserving charities via the Rotary grant process.
