A2 Salon Cut-A-Thon benefits Chris Carlson on August 26

A2 Salon in Ridgefield is hosting a Cut-A-Thon fundraiser on Sunday, August 26 from 10 am to 2 pm to benefit local business owner and Ridgefield resident Chris Carlson who was recently diagnosed with advanced stage lung cancer.

If your kids need back to school cuts, now is the time! A2 Salon will donate 100% of Cut-A-Thon proceeds to the Carlson family to help them with significant medical expenses. A2 stylists will give $15 kids cuts (age 16 and younger) every 15 minutes! In addition, the event will feature games for kids, a tattoo bar, bake sale, auction, and a raffle.

"Our goal is to raise funds to offset the income lost during his treatment and to assist the family with medical bills," says Amanda Kilcran, owner of A2 Salon.

Chris Carlson is the longtime owner of local personal training business, P2P of Ridgefield. According to the Go Fund Me page created on behalf of Chris, the husband and father of three young children is the sole income provider of the family. Since his diagnosis, Chris has needed to take time off from work to focus on treatment and getting healthy.
