Ridgefield nonprofits receive proceeds from Sunset Wine Party, sponsored by Ancona's Wines & Liquors

Ridgefield's First Annual Wine Week came to a grand close on Sunday, September 23 with a Sunset Wine Party which took place at the Lounsbury House and benefited The Ridgefield Playhouse and Ridgefield Independent Film Festival.

Today, Ridgefield resident Paula Alonso, the brainchild and powerhouse behind Ridgefield Wine Week and co-founder and CEO of Wine Revolution, USA together with the event’s major sponsor, Mitch Ancona, owner of Ancona’s Wines & Liquors, presented the two nonprofits with the event's net proceeds from wine and ticket sales totaling $3,000.00.

Shown in the photo are TownVibe publisher and RIFF organizer Geoffery Morris with Allison Stockel, the Executive Director of The Ridgefield Playhouse holding the check. Next to Geoffrey and Allison are Paul Alonso and Mitch Ancona.

If you missed the inaugural Sunset Wine Party, head to Ancona's in downtown Ridgefield or Branchville this weekend for a Sunset Pop Up Wine Tasting event featuring some of the party favorites. Learn more here.
